WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE

but, ...

WHAT A SAD, SAD BUSINESS,

the sacking of Claudio Ranieri from Leicester City FC:

Commercialism Triumphs over Sport ...

but we can remember the huge lift to the World of Soccer

by those wonderful triumphs of 2015-16:

Friend Andrew and Vic don't give the answers that the BBC "One Show " presenter wanted, when he was trying to get reactions to the sensations - physical and metaphorical - that Leicester City were creating in the City as the Club were about to play yet one more game in continuing their earth-shaking feat of reaching and remaining at the top of the Premiership Soccer League.  Good Luck - and, in the end, WELL DONE the Foxes! - see above previous pair of images.

A "Summary" of our Year is to be found in "Holidays & Outings 2016" in our Picture Gallery to your right >>>>

... and now, some IMAGES FROM EARLIER:

The first day of our September Holiday in Provence: a great lunch in Restaurant St-Hubert, Entrechaux, recommended by one of our doctors, whose parents live up the hill behind the restaurant

At the Mas de Maupas, near our favourite French village, Malaucene - Tommy, a regular friendly welcome always part of his repertoire - great company

9th June - Warwick

Lord Leycester Hospital, founded by Robert Dudley, then Earl of Warwick, in Elizabeth I's reign, to house old soldiers - Christine, Pat & Gerry looking at the bright display of Heraldry in the Courtyard

...  and some images from 2014 (read on)

ONE OR TWO 2014 IMAGES

On a Walk, March 6th - quite a Wet-Day Revelation!

SIGNS OF SPRING, after all the dreadful weather - EASTON WALLED GARDEN, Lincs:

aconites and snowdrops, with the remains of the grand house in the background

A view over much of what DH Lawrence would have known of Nottingham - he would have looked from the "Gothick" chimney or gable, below this point, of the old Nottingham University building, here seen from the Newton building over its link with the Arkwright buildings in the mid-picture: all part of the amalgamation of old into new in the Newton-Arkwright link-building of the modern Nottingham Trent University

A Visit in September to Helpston, Northants, and the house where John Clare, "The Peasant Poet", lived and worked

Just one pic from our 2013 holiday in France at "Au Pont", Gourgé, Deux-Sevres -

the Romanesque bridge (c.1100) at the foot of "our" garden, a delightful spot on the River Thouet

(see our Picture Gallery selection of images from this holiday in a "new" part of France for us)

Someone in France has read the English Minolettis "family" section article & has used our email address above to find out more about their own connection with the Canadian Minolettis: we are glad that our information has been useful.
Now we've also had someone in the UK looking for links on the Ferrari side of the family, which Catherine McKinnon had explored.
